I still remember my very first jam night. I was just 14 years old, surrounded by players who were older and way more experienced than me.
When it was my turn to step up, I called out a Neil Young classic. Why that one? Because it gave me wide open runway to lean into my Em pentatonic and just play.
It was the perfect safety net, and it let me stretch out and start finding my own voice. I'm pretty sure I soloed until they threatened to unplug me.
That's the magic of a great jam night song. You can walk up, call out the key, count it in, and go. No awkward rehearsal required. Just real Jam Night fun with other musicians.

- 🎶 Knockin' at the Door (Dylan) A Bob Dylan classic with only four chords. Whether it's a jam night or a campfire, it's a no brainer to pull out, and I'll show you how to add ear catching flair to a simple song.
- 🎶 Watching The Tower (Hendrix) Hendrix always goes over well at a jam, but maybe you're tired of playing Red House again. This is his take on a Dylan classic, and it's always a winner.
- 🎶 Free Rockin' (Neil Young) A Neil Young classic with plenty of runway to stretch out your Em pentatonic ideas. You can solo for days, or until they pull your plug.
